IMPORTANT UPDATE TO PREVIOUS MESSAGE ON MEALS FOR STUDENTS
The Oakland-Craig Public School District Food and Nutrition Services Program is extending and expanding the opportunity for families to pick up meals for school age children that attend Oakland-Craig. Grab and Go breakfast/lunch will be provided for children in grades PK-12 that attend Oakland-Craig. Due to a recent change in rules from the state, the district will be able to offer this program FREE OF CHARGE FOR ALL STUDENTS.
The expanded program will begin on Monday, March 23 with meals available for pickup at the South Entrance of the Elementary school between 11:00 and 12:00pm. Students that live outside of Oakland city limits, Craig, or under special circumstances may have a delivery option. The meals provided will include a cold breakfast and lunch and must be consumed or refrigerated within 30 minutes of pick up or delivery. The pick-up routine will consist of having parents/students drive up and the meals will be handed to the passenger or driver of the vehicle.
This program will be solely for the pick-up of meals and meals will not be consumed on site. We encourage families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the school site once meals have been distributed.
Menu options will consist of a variety of cold menu choices and will vary depending upon availability.
