In accordance with state and federal regulations implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), this notice is to inform you of Oakland-Craig Public Schools intent to destroy personally identifiable information related to special education services maintained on students who received special education services while attending Oakland-Craig Public Schools. Files to be destroyed are those of students that graduated five or more years ago.
Please be advised that the records may be needed by you for social security benefits or other purposes.
If you wish to maintain this information for your personal records, please contact the Special Education Director, Whitney Asche, at wasche@ocknights.org. You will need to arrange a time to pick up your files. Records will be destroyed on January 1, 2027.

Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Board of Education of the School District of Oakland-Craig, in the County of Burt, in the State of Nebraska, a/k/a School District No. 014, has been scheduled for November 9, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. This meeting will be held at the Oakland-Craig Elementary Building at Oakland, NE, in the Board meeting room, which meeting will be open to the public. This week's Senior Spotlight... Eli Johnson.
OC 8th graders were able to attend the Husker Pep Rally and then cheer on the Husker Women's Basketball team in their season opener! Students heard from several Huskers including Olympian Axelina Johansson and volleyball players Andi Jackson and Teraya Sigler.

On Thursday, October 22nd, Oakland-Craig High School art students had the opportunity to partake in Celebrate Creativity workshops sponsored by the Joslyn Art Museum and Omaha Symphony. Working to discover their own artistic talents, students explored music, visual art, theater, and creative writing. With personal schedules designed individually for each participant, students enjoyed professionally led workshops of their choice, a tour of the Joslyn Art Museum, and a live concert experience with the Omaha Symphony Chamber Orchestra.
Elementary students recently enjoyed a fun "Cookies and Canvas," creating mixed media pumpkin paintings alongside our juniors. Everyone had an absolute blast working together!

O-C XC's season came to a close today and how exciting for it to be at the State meet!! Jalie Meyer ran well finishing 68th and Patrick Rayburn finished 16th (2 seconds and one place from a medal). Great season, Knights! You've made us all proud!
